When you set up your own website as part of Live and Teach Guitar Membership, one of the features available is the ability to send invoices to your students and collect payments electronically. Students can receive email notifications of new invoices, view the invoice online and pay them instantly. You will be able to keep track of payments all in one place on your website. You can even set up automatic recurring billing which will automatically collect payments at a regular interval (eg: monthly) from a student without any effort on your part.

Why use our invoicing system?

We enabled this feature to give guitar teachers a simple alternative to manual payment collection or other complex services such as Music Teacher's Helper. This system doesn't have the bells or whistles services such as Music Teacher's Helper promotes, but it does the essentials well.

Our invoicing system has a simple job: allow you to create and send invoices to students and collect payment.

We wanted to offer guitar teachers something simple that won't require regular management or updating. With this system depending on your goals you could simply create one invoice for a new student then never have to worry about invoices or payments again. You can actually set the system up to automatically collect payments for you or you can regularly send invoices. The choice is yours.

Here's an example of an invoice created by our system:

invoice-8

This is what the student sees when they click the link to view the invoice. The invoice is neatly shown on the teacher's website - but only the student can see the invoice. The student can then click one button and be taken to the payment gateway to complete payment. Once the student pays the invoice, you receive a confirmation email and the invoice will automatically be marked as 'Paid'. Simple.

Here's a quick summary of the benefits to using our invoicing system:

  • FREE: no cost to Live and Teach Guitar Members. Please note that the payment gateway service you use will charge a small cost (eg: PayPal charges 2.9% + 30c which works out to $1.75 for a $50 payment. Pretty cheap)
  • Unlimited students: other systems charge based on the number of students you set up, we will never pose any limits on our members.
  • Multiple payment gateway options including: PayPal, Authorize.net, MerchantPlus.com, Stripe, Google Wallet.
  • Students view invoices on your website
  • Email notifications to you and your students
  • Automatic recurring payments: set up an invoice once and receive regular payments automatically from students

Of course in addition to the above benefits Live and Teach Guitar Members have full email support from us.
