Songs are powerful tools you can use to teach students new skills while raising their motivation and inspiration. While it's common for teachers to think of songs as the end goal in the learning process, you can achieve better results by looking at songs differently. The guide TBE-03 explains how to use songs as tools in your lessons to teach your students quite a lot more than merely playing along to the song.
This template gives you a way to show your student what skills and topics they need to work on to be able to play songs they want to learn. Think of this template as a progress tracker for your student to see what they need to work on to play certain songs. Use it as a motivational tool as well as a way to give your students a clear idea on what they need to practice when at home.
