RES-09 Blank Fretboard Diagrams

About this resource

This resource contains basic fretboard diagrams you can use to write down various scales or modes. Instead of giving your student the entire scale to learn, you could write out only a small area of the fretboard for them to focus on. Later on you can expand the notes in the diagram as the student progresses. You could even use this template as a test to see how well your student can figure out the positions of the notes. You could ask your student to 'map out the entire A minor Pentatonic Scale'. This is a great way to break out of the limiting 'box patterns' so many people get stuck using over and over.

There are many other uses for the diagrams and when appropriate, other lessons will refer to this resource if it will help you out.
