New lesson material: Locrian Mode

A new lesson plan has been added to the Lesson Materials Section covering the Locrian mode. Locrian is the seventh of seven basic modes so you now have a complete set of resources you can use to teach your student modes. Locrian is a chaotic sounding mode and has very little practical uses but it's still worth teaching to your student as it brings the theory full circle.

About this lesson

Locrian is the seventh of seven basic modes. Before looking at this content, make sure your student fully understands all the other modes. Locrian is often thought of as a 'theory only' mode because it doesn't often get used in practice. It has a very chaotic sound and can be hard to apply in music. It is sometimes used in metal as it can create a very dark and sinister sound.
